Meet FadedMarky

Growing up, my parents got divorced before I even started school. With my father no longer in the picture, my mom and I didn’t get to spend much time together since she was busy trying to support nine kids. You heard that right—nine kids! A lot of my life, I had to figure out on my own, but that’s okay. It helped shape me into who I am today.

By not having a strong support system growing up, I was a little bit lost. But as I grew, I slowly began finding all of my missing puzzle pieces. My best-friend and dog came into my life, I met one of the most important people to me, and met friends who finally wanted to see me win. So you could say most of my growth as a person has come recently. I’m forever grateful for the path God has put me on.

I’m a simple human-being who stays in his own lane in life. The older I seem to get, the more closed off I seem to become. It’s not that I’ve become anti-social or anything, it’s more so that I’ve dealt with a rollercoaster of experiences throughout my twenties.

For example, in the beginning of my twenties, I lost my best friend to an overdose on drugs. This left an impact on my life, and overall might’ve been the pinacle point, to curving my lifepath into a more positive direction. In honor of my brother, I always try to look out for my audience, by promoting positivity in my content. (He was someone who looked out for others, but couldn’t find it in his heart to do that for himself.)

I’m self-made, I won’t let anyone take that from me. I’ve been through some seriously hard times in my own life. I’m far from a perfect human-being, but I’m also not trying to hide behind being one. Some people create their whole image based on a facade. That’s something I ultimately can’t live with. I’d rather people truly love me for who I am, then for someone I’m pretending to be.

Anyways all my struggles ultimately lead me to finding God, and pushed me towards becoming a better person. So I guess you could say I received the greatest prize of all by finding God,  inner-peace, and the will to want to improve others lives.

I absolutely love being out in nature. I’m a very spiritual soul who enjoys disconnecting from technology and society from time to time. I often feel that the need and pressure to keep up with society can put a damper on your spirit. You might not even realize that you, yourself, have also gotten caught up in trying to keep up with the Joneses without taking a step back.

My love for cannabis began at a young age. For most of my youth, I felt like I had no one to talk to. I had a lot of friends, but never someone older who could provide me with clear insight on becoming a man. That’s when I tried to take the reins into my own hands. It might not have been the smartest decision, but I ended up trying it. By doing so, I realized that I might have been suffering from depression.

I suppose you could say I’ve always been very self-aware. I was always conscious of the fact that I never wanted cannabis to take over my life or to develop an addiction to it. However, cannabis helped teach me about myself and how to meditate. Meditation has become the greatest gift that I learned from consuming cannabis, since it taught me a lot about spirituality and finding God. 

Mr. THC has been one of my biggest blessings in disguise. He helped push me on my path to become a cannabis influencer. From being a fan to meeting him within two weeks after discovering who he was, it felt like fate that we were destined to be friends.

I started as his videographer, trying to help him film his videos. Then he eventually moved away, and I charted my own path on YouTube. A lot of what I know came from understanding what made him so great. I’m beyond proud that he has reached over 1 million subscribers on his YouTube channel. You’ll often see me in a lot of his earlier content in his collective called the ‘THCFAM.’ To this day, we still speak, and he will always be a brother and one of my best friends.

Everything that happened, from meeting him to becoming who I am today, has truly shown me how powerful God is. It has taught me that you should always be grateful because God has something big in store for you if you never give up on yourself.
